The Light

He leaves his belief
In his quest for disbelief
This world falls to the failing words

The bright lightning
And, his pervading anima
Looks for compassion astray

Seeking existence
Without any assistance
The vastness engulfs his soul

So, fall from the sky above
To torch the path below

Orbit the sleuth
To furl the truth
And seep it into the dark

This grain has to dry
And perish to a new life
Embracing the decaying death

Craving for freedom
In search of it random
As he longs for the pristine light

So, fall from the sky above
To torch the path below

@Saadi - Ahem, not entirely about soul searching and not a prose. But, I am glad you liked it.

A switching of horses in the middle of the stream? Dangerous decisions, perhaps, giving up the sky for below. Good work. ~Rick

Dear Ajey,

I see a different style of yours. Using your words in a condensed, quick, powerful mood set the tone for the whole song.

I also agree that the first three lines are astonishing and powerful to start the song. They grabbed my attention. I also liked the conclusion. Brilliant my friend.

@Rikkij - Yea, it is about dangerous decisions. Thank you!!!

@Shadow - A journey everyone has to take in life. Thank you.

We all blaze our own paths, the decisions are ours alone. Conquest are ours to enjoy...

Ajey, nice write.

Very nice, Brosreview. The emotion of longing is universal, thus universally felt. The torch from the sky brought images of renewal, the light as both a beginning and a new direction.

@George - Beautifully put!!! Thank you.

@Judith - Thanks a lot Judith!!!

Dude,
you seriously have to get music to this - and not like punk rocker music, cause this is too pretty to drown our the words. I like saying the words to this one over and over...ok, now I sound like a moron. lol.

To find new direction one needs to put aside old beliefs; independence and freedom comes at a price… are they actually truly attainable… or are we just led to believe that they are… I think the quest is what gives us purpose.
Like your song!!

A suspension of belief, to search for the truth unguided by any one text. "The vastness engulfs his soul" this is how I felt standing upon the mountain and gazing over the sandy rolling hills, the scrubby pines, as a hawk soared up into the sky. I was hoping that knowledge would somehow fall down from the pale blue sky, to guide my path. The sleuth is the seeker of truth, the dark is the unknown. Interesting that you mention grain, the transference of energy from one piece of matter to another. The pristine light to me is the absolute truth... the torch on the path.

@Strawberry Girl - You are right. Now, to give it more sense, I suggest you interlink this to the other songs of this album. Remember, all these songs are interlinked. Thanks for reading!
