Waking up

Today, I miss my dad a lot. I miss his warmth, his love, his wisdom, his direction, his advise and his optimism. He taught me to love Mother Nature and to learn from what she has to offer. This poem is a tribute to Mother Nature and my dad. Please keep him in your prayers so that he can overcome his stressful time.

The calmness of the moonlight
The happiness from the sunlight
That lonely cloud that your eyes seek
The mild breeze that carry the words you speak

How was the dream?
How did you find your dream?

When you feel it, do tell me

How was the dream?
How did you find your dream?
Tell me, my love, my precious
Tell me how you feel

The waves of fragrances
Depart the healing lavenders
The waves of fragrances
Depart the consoling lavenders
Like the innocence in butterflies
They flutter away to spread smiles

From the bud rises a flower
That brings a timeless smile on her face

How was the dream?
How did you find your dream?
Tell me, my love, my precious
Tell me how you feel

Hey you!
You who are in my heart
For not just mine, and not just yours, but our sake
Don't be a stranger

Grey days are familiar to the English rose
Still, the slightest gentle drizzle makes her smile
The gold and crimson iris, and Mother Mary blooms

The fishermen's children with the rusty tin cans
The autumn breeze rustling through the leaves, a haunting melody
The exuberant chorus, the robins sing boldly
Grasshoppers play with the time signatures
The petals drift with the singers' voice
And, the snow falls silently
Yet, there is music in every home
Sound of the carols

You are the melody in the notes
You are the muse of the painter
You are the poetry in the song
You are the keystone of my expression

You are either a fairy from the sky
Or you are an illusionist from a far land

How was the dream?
How did you find your dream?
Tell me, my love, my precious
Write to me how you feel

The calmness of the moonlight
The energy from the sunlight
That lonely cloud that your eyes seek
The mild breeze that carry the words you speak

How was the dream?
How did you find your dream?
Tell me, my love, my precious
Express what you feel

Still in the middle of winter there, aren't you? It's mid-summer up here.

All that imagery of seasons-
Really like the moonlight/sunlight stanza.

Over 20 years now, n I always miss my Dad too. He taught me about courage in the face of certain death, n grace. Never giving up. He didn't hate the animals my mother did, n allowed me my love for them which my mother trivalized. I don't dream of him often, but enjoy those visits- He's been gone too long now.

Bless you both. Prayers sent.
