Unquenched thirst for
The power
Drowning in this crimson flood
That has cursed this city
And, this world
This world
Where we close our eyes to sleep
Now, we close them
To weep
For the dead
In the night
In our deep sleep
The evil creeps
But, we see nothing
Though we see something
The thunder in the sky
The blood in the rain
And, this city
Filled with people is
Lashed with the crimson flood
The deadly silence
The unknown silence
Shadows dance as we
Squirm in our sleep on our bed
As we expect the unexpected
The anguished scream
The lone howls
The faint loss of hope
The crackle of humanity
And, our world is hit
By the crimson flood
What remains
Is just memories
The melodious world
The fragrant times
Where is it now?
Was it a dream we’d lived
Or a book we’d read
Shivering breaths
As these eyes cry
Where is it now?
Where are we now?
We dig the grave
For ourselves
Now, the deepest well
Is dark no more
This darkness
Is a treasure
Of peace
And, then
We stand up
To use the dagger
And, then
We step into the puddle
Of bodies and
Bathe in the crimson flood
And, then
We become
A fighter, a killer
We did what was told to us
Now, we do what is told to us
By us
Are we a fighter? Or
Are we a killer?
Unquenched thirst for
The power
Drowning in this crimson flood
That has cursed this city
And, this world
Has been
Slapped
By the crimson flood
