Cracked Walls

(Drum INTRO)
(Guitar + Bass + Strings Begin)

The cracks on the wall that is falling down
Unfinished words
The scattered letters leaving
Incomplete meanings to seek

The fate of a man thrown in this world
With nightmares and broken dreams
Silence drowns his screams
The realms of the occult deceives

His existence, questionable
To the honest path, he surrenders
If the bridge is crossed, he can take a breath
And smile
But, the seer fears tomorrow
The seer fears tomorrow
No one has seen tomorrow

(Guitar Solo)

He rows across the river of fate
He passes the towering inferno
Bathed by the deeds of the ones
Unseen yet believed

Belief is hard on him
When the belief is unseen
Leaving faith in the ones unseen
Isn’t this an act of fools?

(String Bridge)
(Drum Fill)
(Drums stop)
(Violin begins)
(Bass begins)
(Percussion Play)
(Flute begins)
(Guitar begins)
(Drum begins)

(Choir-AH throughout)
(Scale change)

The cracks on the wall that is falling down
The unfinished words
The scattered letters leaving
Incomplete meanings to seek

The fate of a man thrown in this world
With nightmares and broken dreams
As silence drowns his screams
The realms of the occult deceives

(Primary scale retained)

His existence, is questionable
He surrenders to the honest path
If he crosses the bridge, he can take a breath
And smile
But, the seer fears tomorrow
The seer fears tomorrow
Fearing tomorrow
I fear tomorrow
We fear tomorrow
The living fear tomorrow

(SPOKEN)
Cracks on the wall
Unfinished words
Scattered letters
Incomplete meanings

(Fade out)

First off this piece pulls you into the image of the crumbling wall... I think of the 10 commandments written on the wall of the mountain, that is coming from my Christian upbringing, but really it could be any supposedly established order.

The realms of the occult are of a vague indeterminable nature by definition.

To me crossing the bridge on the honest path is like a reassurance that if he doesn't exactly know who he is or what he is doing in life... at least he has followed the established order, thus he can smile.

What an oxymoron you throw in the mix next "The seer fears tomorrow... no one has seen tomorrow" why even fear tomorrow?

Well he's "bathed by the deeds of the ones unseen... yet believed"

Affected by a force which he believes in but cannot see...

"Leaving faith in the ones unseen, Isn't this an act of fools?"

Is it?

This is a powerful piece, it touches a part of the skepticism in us all... we may find ourselves at one point facing that "river of fate."

Hard to grasp...

I've love this piece darling! xx

I completely agree with your sentiments. This song speaks to all of us and our fears of tomorrow. Faith can be blind and even foolish sometimes as you've expressed. This strikes a great emotional chord. I love your latest work.

This is beautiful. I believe we all fear the cracks in the wall. We fear that tomorrow everything can crumble. I always have to take a deep sigh after reading your songs. They are deep.

Ajey,

You inspire me with this powerful song.

I love these lines, "The seer fears tomorrow", "Bathed by the deeds of the ones Unseen yet believed", "Leaving faith in the ones unseen" where the ones that give this piece the power.

Most of us are bound by regular norms. We blindly follow. We have questions on our minds but are scared to ask. We seek answers from ourselves and we never get it. "Silence drowns his screams" is how most lives lose meanings. Thanks for sharing this piece. It shall remain with me for a long time.

Ajey,
Yes, many fear the future, as there are obvious reasons... the writing is on the wall...
It will be a true test to see whether we walk an "honest path"...
Great piece!!

Hi Ajey! I like this song a lot.
From a love-tortured soul the
cry of why. Cool the way the
last part is spoken.

"...hushed by the deeds of the ones
unseen yet believed..." profound.

Scattered letters would be a great
title for your next song.

This song is a reflection of us..Most of us try to live by the rules laid out before us without questioning, following blindly.. But where does this blid faith lead us, we know not.. But we fear taking an untrodden path.. We fear the unknown..

Beautiful and powerful :)
