(Piano INTRO)
(SFX – Thunder)
(Bass BEGINS)
I have pounded nails
Onto the board
Now, it is time for me
To pull them out
One by one
I can do nothing
About the holes on the board
All I can say is
I shall clean them up
One by one
(Guitar BEGINS)
Clean clothes
They pick up dirt
They pick up sweat
We cleanse them again
One by one
(Drums BEGIN)
An offense has been done
The defence to it is none
But, you should know
Holes on the board, stains on the clothes are forgiven
One by one
(Drums BREAK)
I have lost Him
I recognise it
I don’t excuse myself
I admit it
I feel ashamed
Sleepless nights I spend
I cry
I wail
I realize
“Wickedness never was happiness”
I forsake it
I find Him again
(Drums BEGIN)
(Guitar SOLO)
A punishment I face
With a smile on my face
A learning experience
A cleansed conscience
(INSTRUMENTALS – 2 minutes)
(ALL INSTRUMENTS STOP EXCEPT PIANO)
(DUAL VOCALS)
A changed man
I am now
A better man
I am now
Will I be loved again?
Or, will I be judged again?
Will I ever be loved?
Or, will I be kept away?
Will I be respected?
Or, will I be forsaken?
(Piano SOLO OVER SPOKEN MONOLOGUE BELOW)
I feel
I feel He has forgiven me
For something I did
Something that I forsake
(SING)
We bled from the double-edged sword
But,
My soul
It seeks forgiveness
From the one I have hurt
(Piano EXTRO)

We all seek forgiveness. Nice words.
It seems we all seek happiness, for that hunger we feel deep inside to be filled. We are all blind, led about in the dark reaching for a hand to hold. We do become stained, our clothes worn and dirty, in despair we may think we are worthless now. Yet we can be clean, whole and new again. He has forgiven and I forgive. I pray for forgiveness as well.
This is a beautiful post AJ. Certainly I can feel the turmoil and inner conflict of this person. Forgiveness is such a beautiful thing and can make all the difference. Stirring and beautiful words.
I get a message of a need to make atonement, to right a wrong-
I like the lyrics n theme
