Destiny
Thirteen, four, ninety four
The crash slashed my life I adored
Scared to shed a tear of happiness
Scared, even to shed a tear of sadness
That moment of choice will never be history
She left, she came
She was just the same
She filled the emptiness she had left
She was her reflection
Yeah! Her reflection
Destiny, it did its thing
A stroke of happiness, a stroke of sadness
She did not realize
Her gentle stroke wasn’t my gruntle stroke
Twelve, Two, Zero Six
My baby, my life, my love, my darling
She was out doing her thing
And suddenly, she wasn’t
That moment, yeah, that moment will never be history
“How could one take her?
How could one feel like taking her?
How could one do things to her?
How could one feel like doing things to her?
How could one? Just, how could one?”
Destiny, it did its thing again
A stroke of happiness, a stroke of sadness
She did not realize
Her gentle stroke wasn’t my gruntle stroke
Its’ been two years of hunting
Every face I see sees me like her
They do something, mostly nothing
I do everything, I possibly can
“Finally, I find her caught in the web, stamped
I stand helpless as she’s taken”
My heart sinks and I am
Scared to shed a tear of happiness
Scared, even to shed a tear of sadness
It is this moment that will never be history
Destiny, it did its thing again
A stroke of happiness, a stroke of sadness
She did just not realize
Her gentle stroke wasn’t my gruntle stroke

"Scared to shed a tear of happiness
Scared, even to shed a tear of sadness". I like it. What is good about your songs Ajey that express true feelings. It's a story well folded.
This is the one with the child being kidnapped tale if I'm not mistaken! This one really stood out because of the fact of how real and raw it feels!
The dates, the fact placement; great going!
N yeah, this one slightly scared me cuz of the storyline!
@Drive-thru - Thank you
@Saadi - Wow, I must say you have a good memory, eh? This was like a year (or more)back that I revealed the true meaning to you.
Thanks!!!
Kismet
Crazy indeed to watch
Fate playing its way,
Keeping our hands bound
Wrenching our heart away
Makes us yearn
Yet not able to reach
Fascinating as a snake
Looking silky and satiny
Yet the world's best poison hidden
I'm tempted to touch
Though not for the first time.
don't knw y i shard this poem except that it is abt fate.. something i wrote almost 3 yrs back... no one can fight destiny. have to yield to it and 99/100 always gives us pain, the 1% percent positive would be a short lived pleasure :) my observation.
@Viji - Those are great line you've written. Keep writing, you!!!
beautiful .. simply fabulous.
@thoughts - Thank you!!!
