Bleeding trade

(Violin INTRO)
(Wind – SFX)
(Drum beats begin)

A code was written on a stele
One million moons ago
Where the masters wish
Was a command

(ADLIB)
Do or die

That was a time
The established institution
The triangle of suffering
Saw no abolition

(ADLIB)
Love or hate

Seasons cycled
As souls blistered
Strength withered
From the bleeding trade

(ADLIB)
To believe or not to

(SPOKEN)
“Am I not a man and a brother”

(Drum Fill)
(Guitar begins)
(Instrumental solo – 1 minute)

Stand to be free
Or, sleep to be free
Where are You now?
And, where is Your promised land?

To believe or not to believe!

Gasping at the Sun
Heading to salvation
Wash away the torment
And, sing for absolution

Hate or love!

(Lute Solo)

(FEMALE VOCALS)
Assembling the strength
Befriending the foemen
Movements are stalled
None of this shall happen

Die or do!

(Drum solo)

(BOTH MALE AND FEMALE VOCALS)
The silver lining appeared
They both share the feed
The pale grey sky disappeared
The law of God is freed
Alas!
The law of God is freed

Song for the week: Another beautiful guitar instrumental from Steve Vai called "For the love of God". The progressive elements imply the mishaps and the brutal terrorism occurring in this world. A very strong piece that has and still moves me whenever I listen to it.

For the ones who are unaware of this section, simply check the widgets on the right hand side of my blog. Under the link to my darling's blog, you will find a player. Simply click "Play" and the song should load and play automatically. Before doing it, you might want to scroll down and pause the piano instrumentals being played in another player. This is located under the section - "My honey's clicks".

I am very impressed with this darling! This is such a cerebral song, as always with you! It so clearly conveys the emotions through the beautiful instrumentation that you have chosen to compliment the versus... Ah, I am so in love with this song darling! I'm so in love with you, Muwah! xx

This is certainly a powerful piece and evokes slavery and human trafficing. Across the world, there are still people in bondage in some sort of way, which is always sad. Thank you for making us think.

It's sad that things haven't changed even after so long. What happened in the yesteryears still happens today. We're the only species on earth that never learn.

I think this one is powerful and raw. Many layers of whats outside of us and whats inside of us- the things we choose. I really, really love this one. Excellent work!

btw, the picture compliments the feel of the song exactly.

My heart felt very heavy and cried for all those who had to endure such a fate. No hopes of absolution. The only hope for release from such torment was only via death. The tale you tell is very grim, but to some extent we still see this evil to this day. Sad.

The gory image is a perfect compliment to the song.

The image with the composition is so apt. ..
there is darkness of the souls and centuries of burden that they have carried. the pain is so intense. reading this gave me the imagery of someone walking across a desert, barefoot and in shackles.

very intense
