Condemned to the slayers, we are
By our own men
Condemned to suffer
Left with nothing to eat
Not a drop to drink
But, we stayed strong
Not a murmur
Not a word
We said to no one
(Guitar DISTORTION)
(Bass BEGINS)
Blood drops from the edge of the sword
How could you forsake us?
How could you stay still to the death of your brothers?
He knows of our suffering
He hears our cries
He knows of your answer
You better repent
The righteous are lost to the sword
But, saved by the Lord
You may neglect us but He shall not
He knows of what you’re doing
(Strings BEGIN)
You blow the dust against us
How can you see your men falling for the sword?
That sword of injustice
Wickedness reigns on our land
How can you see all of this and do nothing
You are guilty
You better repent
“The inward vessel shall be cleansed first
Then shall the outer vessel be cleansed also”
(DUAL VOCALS)
It is He who I fear
It is His words I shall follow
I fear not the sword
But my life without Him
I seek not power
But, the glory of my Lord
(Drums FADE OUT)

Beautiful!
A poem with a tinge of spirituality which gives peace to a turbulent mind!
Something I needed to read at this hour!
Great work!
Riveting piece AJ and quite stirring. It is moving and spiritually motivating. I enjoyed reading this piece.
It is like this goes back and forth between God and then it addressed to the wicked sinning people. I do like the back and forth. It is interesting that people know what they are doing, know it is definitely wrong, they should not be doing it, but yet they go on and do it. And then they lament that God sees all the horrible things and doesn't do anything to prevent it.
This is a change from what you usually write, and it is an interesting change.
So true, the only judgment we should fear and the only approval we should seek is from something much higher than those of this earth who try to condemn us.
@Scribbling Girl - Thanks
@The Write Girl - Thanks!
@TechnoBabe - Thanks. Yes, this is different from what I usually write. And, I deliberately did not complement this with an image because I am leaving it for you readers to imagine a picture whilst reading this.
@Eva - Very true. Thanks!
Very thought provoking Ajey... though life seems like an unfair battle at times, a determination to live or die for what is right is what will help us become victorious in the end.
Album resurrection is becoming a very intriguing album. I'm liking the feel of it, the concepts behind it and the overall messages that you're infusing in it. You're putting together something fantastic, and this piece is yet another example of how complicated and yet simple the weave is that you've woven with your work. Brilliant!
@Strawberry Girl - Yes, abiding by the "truth" and the not just the obvious occurring and defending it no matter what will undoubtedly make one victorious. Thanks!! I am glad you found this thought-provoking! I thought you would because you can understand this story better.
@findingmywingsinlife - Thanks!!
