That secret bird
Chirpers
The eternal truth
On the old pine tree
Pleading innocence
In those round eyes
That longs for the full-moon
The thin sunlight
The thick chills
Another year is gone
Cloud after cloud
The water frees from the ice
Into a stream, she then smiles
Sunrise rises to awake
Breaking from the reeds
The stream’s now dripping red
With a spring in her step
Ducks quack on the lake
They see clouds in the water

The idea of pleading innocence strikes me as exquisitely beautiful and vulnerable. Lovely piece.
I enjoyed the natural beauty and wonder of nature...nicely written here.
Sinister truths revealed in nature, well hidden!
