The Clue

RIP Mrs. K******

The sky weeps again
On the same old roof
The petals stood as the
Rain drops dropped on them
Until now

Under the canopy that burned
She laid there
To die
Again

Infrequently expressed
Feelings remained buried
Alive they will be
In your grave

Flowers for another grave
This time

Eulogies
Regret
A debt
And
Scattering whispers
From a
Shattered soul

Not a clue
For you
A clue for me
She left
A clue
Her life
The clue

I really like the picture in this post. Is it okay if I copy it to my computer and use it sometime? Did you take the picture, so I would credit the photo to you. Laying someone's body to rest brings out so many stored and sometimes hidden feelings.

Simple, but effective like a well written Eulogy should be. Yet there is a sense of mystery, like the silent crow in the picture... interesting piece.

The images and emotions you evoke here are so strong and vivid. Nice writing here AJ.

This leaves the same feeling death does. One I can't explain well. It's that feeling, those thoughts, and the searching for answers. This was wonderfully written.
