Caustic soul

(SNARL VOCALS FULL)
Engulfed in froth
Drowning in dreams
Numbness comes to life

(Percussion Bridge)

Circling the scene
Seeing the prey
Cross the figure of flames

(Bells begin)

Two steps to the right
Unseen in the light

Scar them apart
Tear them apart
Pull them apart

A song to the moon
Dreams grow black wings
To get lost into the dark sky

Hunt the hunter down
Ferment the growing wings
Bang
The hammer from hell
To deceive the caustic soul

(Bells stop)

@Maverick - Thanks for dropping by. And, yes the intensity of darkness if pretty high in this one. And, as you spotted the musical element adds a whole new level to the darkness. I am glad you like this one. Thank you!!!

Hi Ajey,
I sense a struggle, battle, lost hope… there is so much of that in our world… dark, but so real... brings deep reflection,

Thanks for following. I shall be following you back. Do check out my list too. The link to your site will be there.

Are you going commercial any time soon? Where can I listen to your songs?

Btw, I have written a song too. Check out the labels.

Z

Brosreview said...

@zorlone - I am intending to go commercial once I find a band to play my songs. I am not very good at instruments. So, I need to rely on some band. Currently, there are a few songs being used by bands. But, they haven't finished working on them. So, I do not have any links to share.

I shall check out your song soon. Cheers!!! And, thanks for following.

That's great news! I wish you all the best!

Cheers indeed!

This may seem random....But this resonates with me because two days ago my daughter and I visited a WWII battleship. On some level, I feel this there as part of that literal struggle.

Brosreview said...

@SandyCarlson - I like your take on this song. Thank you!!!

@zorlone - Thanks for your best wishes!!!

See, this amazes me, that there are so many disparate souls out there. This one is well formed and yet alien to me.

Brosreview said...

@Woman in a Window - Okay, let me let this off me chest. Frankly, I expected you, specifically, to decode this one with ease. I reckon another read shall help you understand this better. I know you will get the message as it revolves around a topic you are interested in (judging from your poems). Thanks for reading!!!

I should confess to you AJ...

Most of the time I read your songs as just lyrics..for me I love words and their play...

For the first time I was curious to know what a percussion bridge is and how a snarl vocals would sound and its for the first time I even cared to hear the song in a song.

I heard it today along with the snarl vocals full :), percussion, bells...I just realised how potent a lyric will become when it becomes a song...

Ah! then lyrics

let me tell you how it sounds to me..

I added "caustic soul-" as the first line to all the stanzas..I could be wrong... but a good exercise for my rusted brain :D

lines that stole my heart:

"Dreams grow black wings
To get lost into the dark sky"

"Hunt the hunter down
Ferment the growing wings"

Brosreview said...

@Walker - Thanks mate!!!

Brosreview said...

@Viji - I appreciate the way you go that extra mile to understand my songs. Thanks for that.

Yes, your imagination is right. The title resonates till the end. So, no, you are not wrong there.

And, do not call your brain rusted. The poems that you come up with are very good.

Thanks a lot!!!

I've just woke up from an unsettling dream and your song
matches the dream. Yikes!

Brosreview said...

@Cynthia - I will consider this song to be a nightmare then. Thanks for reading.

This one leaves a bad taste in my mouth...I am guessing that is the effect you were aiming for.

Okay, I'm going to take a wild swing here! Why do I have a feeling it's about a nightmare or something related to it?!

I didn't get parts but it is dark...like most of your work! Also good!

Brosreview said...

@Saadi - Thanks for reading.

Really like this one as well. Vividly imaginative and dense.

Your lyrics reminds me of William Blake's poetry, but your style is still very very personal!

Thanks a lot for following my blog, by the way.
